Financial Understanding Starts with Good Teaching

We believe that when people are given space to learn — without pressure or jargon — they make better financial choices.

OUR STORY

How amberonver Came to Be

amberonver began in 2018, in a rented meeting room near Silom with eight participants and a whiteboard. The idea was straightforward: create a space where adults in Bangkok could learn about money in an honest, unpressured way. Not a sales pitch for financial products. Not a lecture hall. Just real conversation backed by solid knowledge.

Our founders — a former university lecturer in economics and a financial planner with over fifteen years of advisory work — had both seen the same problem from different angles. People wanted to understand their finances better, but most of what was available was either too academic, too product-driven, or too simplistic. There was a gap for something more human.

Since then, amberonver has grown carefully. We have served hundreds of participants across our three core programs. We moved into our own space on Silom Soi 19 in 2021 and have built a small team of educators who share the same values: clarity, patience, and respect for each person's starting point.

What has not changed is our approach. We keep groups small. We build our courses around real questions people have. We never assume our participants should already know something. And we treat every topic — whether it is inheritance law or mobile banking security — with the same care and thoroughness.

Our Mission

To provide accessible, thoughtful financial education that helps individuals in Thailand develop the understanding and confidence to make informed decisions about their money — at their own pace and on their own terms.

HOW WE WORK

Our Standards and Practices

Participant Privacy

All personal and financial information shared during courses is treated as strictly confidential. We follow Thailand's PDPA guidelines and never share participant data with third parties.

Curriculum Review

We update our course content quarterly to reflect changes in Thai financial regulation, new digital tools, and participant feedback. Every module is reviewed by at least two team members before delivery.

No Product Sales

We are educators, not salespeople. We do not sell financial products, accept commissions, or partner with product providers. Our only interest is in your understanding.

Small Group Commitment

We cap group sizes at twelve participants. This allows meaningful interaction, individual attention, and the kind of candid conversation that large lecture settings simply cannot offer.

Professional Credentials

Our instructors hold relevant qualifications — including CFP certification and university teaching credentials — and participate in ongoing professional development throughout the year.

Outcome Tracking

We collect anonymous feedback after each course and track long-term engagement. This helps us understand what is working and what needs improvement — and we take that data seriously.

What Drives Us Every Day

Financial education in Thailand has grown considerably over the past decade, but much of what is available still leans toward product promotion or overly theoretical content. At amberonver, we occupy a different space. Our work sits at the intersection of practical knowledge, personal context, and genuine care for the people who walk through our door.

We have learned over the years that the most valuable thing we can offer is not a formula or a strategy — it is the chance for someone to ask a question they have been carrying around for months, and to receive a thoughtful, clear answer. That kind of exchange does not happen in a webinar or a textbook. It happens in small rooms with good teachers and willing learners.

Bangkok is a city where tradition and modernity live side by side, and we see that reflected in the financial questions people bring to us. Some participants are thinking about how to pass wealth to the next generation in a way that honours their family's values. Others want to understand why their mobile banking app works the way it does. Both questions matter equally to us.
